This seeks to improve citizens’ participation and stakeholders’ engagement towards a violence-free, and credible General Election in Nigeria. Animators were trained on election observation and the use of Caritas/JDPC election observation app.
In addition to these, DPI/JDPC has been part of planning and execution of advocacies to faith leaders, traditional leaders, government officials and other policy makers for projects. As part of coalitions with other CSOs, DPI/JDPC has called for good governance and implementation of relevant laws in Kaduna state; one of such success story is the advocacy to the Kaduna state house of Assembly and other relevant stakeholders which brought about the demonstration and eventual passage into law of the Child’s right Acts in Kaduna state (Now Known as the Kaduna State Child’s Right Protection Law 2017)
