A programme funded by CRS/USAID aimed at providing protection to vulnerable children and established Community Justice System and Child’s Rights Clubs in Schools for stigma reduction on child abuse and an alternative to disputes on child’s related issues.
DPI implemented a programme that built the capacities of 80 participants as monitors of Democracy. It deepened Participants Capacities to engage political representatives thereby reducing citizens’ apathy and ensure good governance and accountability.
with more than 500 observers deployed to cover 7 Local Government Areas (namely Chikun, Kagarko, Kachia, Kajuru, Kaduna South, Kaduna North and Igabi) in 1999 and 2007 while in 2011 with local funds we mobilised 350 observers (reports for 2007 and 2011 were documented in a booklet).
Funded by CRS/Trocaire in 2003 to reconstruct damaged building for victims of November 2002 Miss World Crisis in Rigasa, Nassarawa, Malali and Sabon Tasha. A team mixed in Faith and Gender directed the implementation of conflict prevention and mitigation mechanism for six months.
